Try Some Feng Shui at Your
Home Entry While many of you are so intuitive about your personal space that you naturally surround yourself with the best energies, here are a few feng shui suggestions to help enhance the energies of your front entry and welcome you, your family and your guests into your home. 1) You Don’t Get a Second Chance at a First Impression: Stop as you drive home or step across the street from your property and look with a fresh eye at your yard and house. Evaluate your home’s curb appeal. Is the yard well-tended or does the landscape appear tired or overgrown? Is the paint fresh and clean or beginning to peel? Would you buy this house? 2) Stage a Warm Welcome: Make sure that your front door is easily found, easy to get to, and that it says “Welcome Home” to everyone. Sweep the porch. Clear out the cobwebs. Get a fresh new doormat (preferably a black one) and add personal touches to the entry area such as a wreath, banner, or bench. Put a fresh coat of paint on your front door or simply clean it and polish all the hardware. Make sure your doorbell works. USE YOUR FRONT DOOR AT LEAST ONCE EVERY DAY and watch your income and energy begin to soar! (For more about my experience with this principle, just click here.) 3) Light the Way: Does the front porch light work? Does all your landscape lighting work? Are there no dead bug bodies inside your light fixture? Is the glass of the light fixture sparkling clean? 4) Everything On the Level: Are your address numbers hung horizontally? You don’t want anything associated with the energies of your home considered to be “going downhill.” 5) No Scary Hands: Do your trees have branches that reach out and down at you like scary hands? Trees should grow up. Trim any branches off your trees that reach down. Lift the skirts of your trees to be at least 8 feet off the ground and trim your bushes to no taller than 4 feet. This way you can see anyone coming to your home - increasing your security and safety. |
