Use Feng Shui Principles to Promote Your Reputation
Fame and reputation are all about fire energies: how your light shines out into the world and how others perceive that light of yours. Promote your professional reputation with these recommendations: 1) Let Your Light Shine: Make sure every light in your office is in good working order. Make sure none of your light bulbs are flickering, burned out, or too low in wattage to light your task area. Every light in your environment should be shining every day. 2) Sing Your Own Praises: You worked long and hard for that degree (or those degrees) of yours. Acknowledge and respect your own accomplishments and others will too. Brush them off as if “it was nothing” and others will see your efforts as worthless. Have your diplomas and certificates professionally framed. If they already are framed, polish the glass and dust the frame. Make sure these are hung on the center of the wall opposite the door to your office. 3) I Can See Clearly Now: Clean your computer monitor, your glasses, your windows, and any other glass in your office (especially mirrors). 4) Red - Not Just for Santa Anymore: Add some red to your desktop in the far center section of your desktop across from where you sit. Any fire color will do, so a fiery orange or gold will also work well.Put some red on your person too: wear red glasses, shoes, or even a red watch band. 5) Jesse James Syndrome is Real: Can you see the door to your office from where you sit most of the time at your desk? If you sit with your back to the door you are disempowered, distracted, and “looking to take a bullet to the back.” Not good feng shui. If you can’t turn your desk, get a mirror, a shiny photo frame, or a silver pencil cup and set it so you can see what’s coming at you from behind. Just that little clue that someone is behind you will help you feel that you know what is coming at you through both space and time. This is a big deal. Don’t sit with the door at your left or right so that you get blind-sided whenever you’re trying to focus. Take command of your future and meet it head on. |
